Once Bitten, Thrice Shy
Team Edward or Team Jacob? It was no contest at the Cinema Society and Piaget’s screening of Twilight: Eclipse last night at the Crosby Street Hotel. Not only was Robert Pattinson not there, leaving it to co-star Taylor Lautner to absorb the adulation of screaming fans, but Jacob also gets to stick Edward with the movie’s most pointed line: “Let’s face it, I am hotter than you.” So hot, in fact, that Lauren Bush admitted she’d Flip-cam’d Lautner on the way in.
Kristen Stewart herself is no match for Twilight madness, which is why she kicked off her Louboutins on the press line. “It’s just that it’s the end of four weeks, and it’s been almost every day,” she explained to us. “But in the beginning, I probably could have beaten you in a foot race in heels.”
That was then, of course, and with the movie out on Wednesday, this is now. “My agent is Team Jacob and wants me to secretly put Taylor Lautner in my bag when I leave,” Dree Hemingway confided. “It’s a Balenciaga bag, but I consider it a Mary Poppins bag, because I swear I could whip out, like, a couch.” Sounds like enough room to fit not one but two Twilight hunks—where’s that Edward when you need him?
